Accounts Assistant Part Time

I am delighted to have been engaged with an established food manufacturing business in their next hire.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the business require a part-time Accounts assistant to join their finance function.

The salary is £14-£18k for 3 days a week for the right individual and does come with further benefits including an auto enrolment pension (3% employer,5% employee) after 3 months and 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays pro rata

Experience

* Good mathematical and communication skills, written and verbal

* Organised and keen eye for detail

* Computer skills covering MS Excel,Word and Outlook

* Computerised accounting experience (ideally Sage Line 50 and/or 200)

* If not Sage, then experience of another accounting package

* Accountancy qualified, AAT or book-keeping qualification (ICB or IAB)

* Experience of VAT reporting (inc EC Sales Listings, Intrastat)

Key Duties

* Responsible for book keeping of 4 associated companies trading from 1 site covering:

* - Purchase Ledgers, Invoice and payment processing

* - Sales Ledgers, Raising Sales Invoices and receipt posting

* - Nominal Ledgers, journal posting and ledger reconciliation\'s

* - Bank Reconciliation\'s

* - Credit Control

* - Petty Cash

* - Company Credit Cards

* - Stock reconciliation\'s

* - Intra company transactions

* Assist Finance Manager with Monthly/Annual Accounts\' Preparation and other reporting as and when required.
