Role: Logistics Administrator - Part Time (2 x days per week)

Salary: £22k pro-rata

Location: Derbyshire


2Fawcett are recruiting for a Logistics Administrator to join a company located in Derbyshire on a Part Time, 2 days per week basis. This will be on an FTC basis for a minimum of 3 months.

This role will suit somebody who is immediately available.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Logistics Administrator

  • To oversee all Market Territories and to act as the communication link between the business and its customers, optimising orders and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of processes to embrace best practice.
  • Lead on process improvements to ensure all work is carried out in the most efficient and effective manner including 3PL.
  • Support the Line Manager and Department Manager in delivery of any business wide initiatives.
  • Support colleagues and deal with activities on their territories.
  • Advise on current issues within the Export process and maintain an up to date knowledge of Export procedures.
  • Manage projects as agreed with the Departmental Manager.
  • Ensure training documents and help files are complete and up to date.
  • Provide cover for the line manager during periods of absence.
  • Support and supply information to Group Companies in a timely fashion. This includes (but not limited to): product availability; prices; product launches; order and despatch confirmation with the aim to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Gain a detailed knowledge on International Logistics, products and applications to support customer enquiries and understand when to escalate.
  • Process customer orders promptly, efficiently and accurately. Build container plans where applicable and agree lead times with customers.
  • Handle enquiries, complaints, discrepancies and issues quickly, efficiently and sympathetically ensuring the customer is satisfied with the outcome.
  • Conduct occasional complaint investigations as directed by Lime Manager.
  • Ensure relevant deadlines and targets are met. {Personal objectives and company/departmental targets) including month/year end processes.
  • Work with other departments (commercially and operationally) to achieve objectives as identified in reviews and personal development plans and as advised by the Department or line manager.
  • Attend and contribute to team / project / company meetings as requested
  • Ensure customer details are up to date and correct on all systems and carry out any ad-hoc activities requested by your Line or department manager.

Requirements of the Logistics Administrator

  • Ability to communicate at all levels using the appropriate channels (verbal and written).
  • IT competent, including SAP, MS Office, Access forms. Able to produce clear and detained presentations.
  • Project management methodology. Able to motivate others and set clear goals.
  • To continually portray a professional image to both internal & external customers.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy always and good attention to detail.
  • Trained in International Trade Regulations and Dangerous Goods Safety.
