Part Time Administrator/Beauty Therapist
Salary circa £9.50 ph dependent on skills and experience
Permanent position - after 3 month probationary period
Hours- 16 hours+ per week flexible - must include a half day on a Saturday and a Tuesday evening till 8pm
Our client is a busy GP practice offering 5* patient care. Their regular hours are from 8am-5pm with Tuesday late until 8pm. Saturdays 8:30am-12:30am.
Due to continued growth the surgery is now looking to expand their existing team and require an experienced Part Time Administrator. You will be responsible for patient service and communication, both face to face and over the telephone. You will be responsible for caring for patients throughout their treatment journey ensuring they receive a five-star service throughout.
This role would ideally suit an individual who has experience of working within a clinic or who has been working within a beauty, massage or health therapy role.
The role will include, but not limited to:-
* Responsible for screening calls to risk assess patients prior to arranging their appointment
* Handle general queries efficiently and effectively
* Complete electronic and/or manual data entry / record keeping and retrieve simple data in an accurate and timely manner, to agreed standards
* Provide administrative assistance across a range of areas, such as photocopying, filing/archiving, sorting post, etc.
* Housekeeping in reception, waiting areas and WC's
* Care of patients in reception and waiting area
* Fit to fly covid testing - administer self-swab testing including registration and sending out results efficiently
Essential skills and experience
* Be a confident and customer-focused communicator and present in a professional manner
* Ideally be educated to GCSE in English and Maths, with NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent
* Health and Beauty Level 3 qualified would be desirable
* Doctors' diary management
* Provide reports/letters as required
* Following up on patients results
* Have good IT and keyboard skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
* Have experience within an administrative and customer facing environment essential
* Beauty background would be desirable but not essential
* Candidates must also be prepared to undertake training as necessary for the role
* Outstanding listening skills and ability to empathize with patients' needs and concerns
* Appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations
* Ability to work as a team member
* Well-presented and possess excellent face to face skills
