Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk - Plymouth - £20-21,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a new client, a multi-site security services business operating throughout the UK. The business currently seeks to recruit a part time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join them on a permanent contract. The role is anticipated to work over a 20-hour week with the successful candidate ideally completing hours between 0 Mon-Fri, but with a degree of flexibility by mutual agreement.

The role is immediately vacant and preference will be given to candidates who are able to commence at short notice.

The role reports to the senior finance team and works as part of an energetic and passionate function. Key responsibilities to include:

- Matching supplier invoices to POs

- Daily banking & matching receipts and payments to invoices

- Assist with reconciliation and monthly reporting

- Assist in the preparation of payment runs

- Other ad-hoc duties to assist colleagues in finance team

We're looking for a candidate with at least 12 months of recently gained experience in an accounts payable function, either QBE or part/fully AAT qualified. The role will call for a high level of IT aptitude, particularly in the use of MS Excel and Sage based accounting platforms. The role will liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the business so exceptional communication skills and a customer focussed attitude are must-have qualities.
