Payroll Administrator - work from home

Opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our client, a fast-growing accountancy practice based in Bournemouth. It is an ideal role for a self-starter working from home who seeks a payroll position and can also assist with the general practice administration.
Working from home, your key responsibility will be to manage and control, 100 payrolls from single Director companies to c.40 person companies, which will include processing mainly monthly pay, with a few weekly ones. As the sole payroll person, you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll and general practice administration.
Payroll Administration Duties (60% OF TIME)
* Liaising with existing and setting up new clients
* Adding new employees and updating leavers
* Processing bonuses and adjustments
* Updating tax codes
* Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
* Preparing year end P35s and P60s
* Liaising with salary software supplier
* Issue PAYE liabilities and reports
* Looking after all aspects of the Pensions including autoenrollment compliance
* All aspects of pay and pension
* Managing all statutory communications and returns
* Entering journals on accountancy software
Non-payroll Administration Duties (40% OF TIME)
* General accountancy practice admin
* Liaising with HMRC on ad hoc queries
* Following up with clients for Agency activation codes
Key Skills and experience required
Our client seeks a hands-on accounts assistant who is already experienced in the workings of busy accounts office, yet happy to take on new tasks and processes with training and support. Predominately you will work from home with occasional meetings with the business owner.
* Numerate
* Ideally 5 years Payroll experience but not essential
* Knowledge of Pensions and systems including NEST and Smart Pensions
* Flexible and able to work as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Highly organised and enjoys creating order
* Preferably practice experience
