My client has a scientific team consisting of scientific directors, writers, researchers and editors based in the UK and US, with a wide range of experience and expertise. They are now looking for a Scientific Director to join them.

This role is a key leadership role within the agency, accountable to the Head of Scientific Services for editorial and content quality they work with clients to challenge, develop and shape pharmaceutical scientific strategies of the future. They are recognised internally and externally as experts in the development and implementation of strategic communication plans, often in one or several therapy areas/specialisms.

You will be expected to lead teams by example, having responsibility and accountability for delivery of consistently high-quality work, whether that be through facilitation of advisory boards and scientific meetings, through partnering with clients to develop future scientific strategy or through development of medical strategy for business development

The role can be very flexible with just only occasional travel to the office. I am also open to consider candidates who want to work 4 days/week or maybe even 3.

Requirements:

• At least 5+ years' direct experience within a full-service medical communications company
• Line management ability (not necessarily experience) and mentorship of team members
• Ability to work autonomously and run year-on-year medical communications accounts
